Prestained Protein Marker YB3187-250uL is an essential tool used in Western blotting and SDS-PAGE.

Product Specification

This product, Prestained Protein Marker VII, consists of 10 highly purified, prestained recombinant proteins (without his-tag).

In Tris-Glycine gels, it indicates a molecular weight range of 8 to 195 kDa, corresponding to approximately 8, 13, 20, 28, 40, 55, 70, 105, 140, and 195 kDa proteins.

The 70 kDa and 8 kDa protein bands appear magenta, while all other bands are blue. This color scheme facilitates the real-time monitoring of electrophoresis progress and the assessment of protein transfer efficiency during blotting

It is suitable for use as a protein molecular weight standard in both SDS-PAGE and Western blotting.

Storage

Transported with ice packs (wet ice); stored at -20°C, valid for 12 months.

Operation Step

1. This product is ready to use and does not require the addition of reducing agents or heating. Thaw the Prestained Protein Marker from -20°C at room temperature and mix gently and thoroughly.

2. Perform protein electrophoresis with 5-10 μL of this product simultaneously with the experimental sample. It is recommended that laboratories using this product for the first time conduct preliminary experiments to determine the appropriate loading volume based on their own experimental conditions and practices. This will save costs and produce better images.

3. After use, store the Prestained Protein Marker promptly at -20°C (5-10 μL aliquots are recommended).

Notice

1. This prestained protein marker should not be heated to 100°C or boiled. Heating may cause protein degradation or loss of stain.

2. For Western blotting of high molecular weight proteins, extended transfer time or increased voltage is recommended.

3. The indicated molecular weights of the prestained proteins are calibrated based on their non-prestained counterparts.

4. Storage: ≥20 days at ambient temperature; ≥2 months at 2-8°C; ≥12 months at -20°C.
